PROGRAM IDENTIFICATION  :

1. Location  :

The project covers the second cycles Mahamane Fondogoumo and Yehia Alkaya of the urban municipality of Timbuktu.

​ 2.  Budget:  6  514,000 FCFA

 3. Results expected by the program  :

• Increase the attendance rate of girls by  7th A, 8th A and 9th A,

• Improve the school performance of girls in the  7th A, 8th A and 9th A,

• Increase the rate of passage of girls from 9th to secondary level.

4. Results achieved by the  program  :

The results achieved by the project at the level of the target schools,   mainly focus on  :

• Identification of 34 vulnerable stock market girls,

• Material assistant to the 34 beneficiary girls (school kits, payment of school contributions  and teachers' motivation costs for organizing remedial courses by school.

•   Delivery of kits consisting of school supplies and materials to the 50 beneficiary girls,

• Parent awareness  on the reduction of domestic chores for girls,

• Parent awareness  in relation to keeping girls in school,

• Monitoring of girls' attendance at regular classes and mediation classes in French and English,

• Monitoring of girls' performance in different courses,

• The organization of re-mediation courses continued  at the level of the two schools,

• Registration of two scholarship girls at the Bouctou Santé school and payment of school fees,

• Endowment / distribution of equipment for second cycles Mahamane Fondogoumo, yehia Alkaye and Alpha Daouna of Timbuktu.

6. Beneficiaries  :

The direct beneficiaries of project support are  34 girls from vulnerable families in second cycles Mahamane Fondogoumo and Yehia Alkaya from the CAP of Timbuktu.
